Silvia Shelton is our youngest real estate agent filled with incredible drive, passion, and unique experiences. All of these qualities were realized when she was a young girl living in Guatemala City, Guatemala. As her father pursued his dreams as a career military officer, her mom explored business opportunities to stay home and help support the family. Both parents encouraged her to be ambitious and so, at 17, Silvia was awarded an international student scholarship to study in Columbus, Georgia. Her drive and passion, however, took a new turn when she met her husband. Fast forward a few years, she is now a real estate agent and a full-time student that plans to graduate from Liberty University with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance in 2022.

While engaging in rigorous academic activities for International Studies, she found herself young, in love, and married to a Paratrooper. She sacrificed much by switching countries, colleges, and friends to help her husband, like her father, realize his dreams. Thinking of her mother, she realized what she wanted and had to do; she wanted to explore business opportunities that could help her support her family. Through challenging circumstances such as a new language and career path, she fought to get her license and landed a spot on our team at Townsend Realestate.

Silvia understands the differing fears that overwhelm someone who is looking to purchase a home. After having lived in the Fayetteville/Hope Mills area for two years, she is committed to helping all, including military spouses, convert their fears into an unforgettable experience that leaves them satisfied with a house they can grow their family into. She remembers what it is to move into a new house with a husband who is deployed in an area that was unfamiliar. She guarantees that as a buying or listing agent, that these fears will be absolved and turned into an enjoyable experience that felt all too easy. As someone who is bilingual, she feels confident in her ability to reach twice as many people and make people twice as happy. 

Aside from her ambitions and full-time studies, Silvia has a relatively simple life with simple wants and needs. Her greatest moments are when she has the opportunity to stay up late with her husband watching a movie or planning a get-away vacation. She looks forward to the weekend Mass, Starbucks, and movie marathons.
